1 of 3 parts. On 19th July, me and Fendi went for a visit to Bradford, West Yorkshire, where we used to stay before we moved to Canterbury. Just a last visit before we go home for good. Don’t know when we will visit that place again. Another reason is because Fendi wanted to buy some graduation souvenir which last year we didn’t tought of buying. This souvenir only available during the graduation ceremony. So, best go to Bradford this time of the year. 🙂

A lot of changes made since we were last there, some new buildings and some shops are closed. I would say, some good changes were made.

20th July 2010 marks of me and Effendy graduating from our Honours Degree. It was a long and a very eventful day. But it wasn’t ideal to walk around with heels. LOL~ Which I did.

The day started off early, woke up around 10 am, showered, had breakfast, dressed in our formal dresses and suits, wear our graduation gowns and arrived at Uni around 12 noon. Me and Fendi went straight to Norcroft Center (one of the building in the Uni) for some food and beverages. I even didn’t get to go inside the food and beverages room coz i saw my classmate Rizipa and she told me we need to get group(Computing Department) photo at Amphitheater which is the other end of Uni. Well, to be honest, it is not that far, but when u were wearing heels. Its feels reall2 far away! And bear in mind my computing department should have the most number of students in School of Computing (SCIM), Informatics and Media. When I arrived there, only few ppl came i.e. less than 10 ppl when there were suppose to be 150 students and it started raining, then they cancelled the photoshoot. Went there for nothing.

Then went back to the other end of Uni i.e. the Atrium where the rest of the ppl in the department were queueing for registration. LOL! Queued for a good 20mins then we just realised we need a letter from Uni saying it important to bring that letter for our graduation ceremony registration. Which Fendi said he never recieved his and I did recieved mine but I forgot to bring it along. Then my brilliant idea not to bring my student ID which didn’t help at all -.- but Fendi brought his, so he’s good. So with my heart throbing, sweaty hands and non stop praying I just bravely registered myself on my turn. Fortunately, they weren’t very strict like they said in the letter. Nasib. Alhamdulillah, I don’t need to go home and fetch my letter in those heels. She ask for my student number and comfirm my name then the nice lady gave me my ticket and seat number (I08).

We started entering the Small Hall where the ceremony took place at around quarter to 2 pm. Seating at your given seat, talk to the person seat next to you. Meet my first friend from Uzbekistan whom I thought all this long was an English guy. His name is Shukrat. FYI Uzbkistan is close to Russia.

The ceremony started off at 2 pm with procession of faculty of staff. Started off with speech from my AI for Games lecturer Professor Peter Cowling introducing this excellent student taking PHD. Then the rest of us got on stage and recieved our Degree certificate.

The ceremony only went about an hour. Just after 3 pm we went out of Small Hall and off to Amphitheater (again) to take the SCIM photo. On our way there, we meet up with Teresa (International Officer), Melo and Erman. It started to rain on our way to Amphitheather and we did take the photo outside in the rain. hahaha..

Then off to the Uni Sports Center to get our professional photoshot done. Then, I went home, changed my shoe to slipper and get my purse to but frame and Uni USB stick. Then went back home around 5 pm…
